We helped with the children's Sunday School. Elizabeth led the group in praise and worship, Giovanny did a great puppet presentation for the kids, and then we broke up into small groups with the kids. After the service we had lunch and had some time to relax that afternoon and contact our families. That evening, we went to Guayquil's river walk (el Malecón) and took some pictures.
We had a wondering time with our Ecuadorian brothers and sisters. They were so loving, generous, and humble!
Monday, May 2
The next morning, we got up bright and early, said goodbye to our wonderful hosts,
and boarded our bus headed to the border of Ecuador and Peru. We ended up on another of the
stop-at-every-corner buses, but we made it to and across the border quickly
enough without any problems.
On the bus, we met several other believers who where a great
encouragement to us: a pastor, a missionary, and a seminary student. William, the seminary student, helped us find
a great deal on a very nice bus from the border to Lima. It was a double level bus with plenty of
space and even meals and a stewardess!
Then the missionary, Luana, invited us to stay at her church to rest and
shower before continuing our journey to Cusco - it was a huge blessing and confirmation of God´s promises to take care of us, provide for us, and go with us on our journey!

Domingo, 1 de Mayo
El domingo por la mañana, ayudamos con la escuela dominical para los niños. Elizabeth nos dirigió en un tiempo de alabanza, Giovanny hizo un buen show de títeres, y después nos dividimos en grupos pequeños con los niños. Después de la escuela, comimos y pasamos la tarde descansando y comunicándonos con nuestras familias. Por la noche, volvimos al Malecón para tomar fotos.
Lo pasamos muy bien con nuestros hermanos ecuatorianos. Son muy buena gente - muy generosos, humildes, y amigables.
Lunes, 2 de Mayo
El lunes, nos levantamos muy temprano, diciendo adios a nuestro maravilloso
pastor anfitrion, y abordamos nuestro bus rumbo a la frontera entre Ecuador
y Peru. Nosotros estuvimos en un
bus que paró mucho pero finalmente logramos pasar la frontera sin ningun
problema.
En el bus conocimos a otros creyentes quienes nos ofrecieron su
apoyo, un pastor, un misionero, y un estudiante del seminario. William, el
estudiante de seminario, nos ayudo a encontrar un gran plan de bus muy
confortable. Este bus era de dos pisos con gran espacio, comidas y anfitrionas! Después la misionera Luana nos invito a estar en su iglesia a descansar y darnos un
bano antes de continuar nuestro viaje a Cuzco. Fue realmente una bendición y
la confirmación de las promesas del senor de cuidarnos, proveernos y acompañarnos.

A pastor, a missionary and a seminary student... what a awesome story! And Luana! Psalm 23, He refreshes my soul. Rest and shower (freshen up) in Lima, how beautiful. God is soooo good!
