After a great day off yesterday, this morning we packed up and headed out to spend the rest of the week at the YWAM kids' homes here in Medellin (you can see more on the homes at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlyYEb2ZI04 ). We'll be leading the devotionals for the kids and helping with any other needs they have. None of us consider ourselves to be really great with kids, so please pray for guidance and wisdom with them. Most of the kids are here either because their parents couldn't afford to support them or because they came to escape the violence in other parts of Colombia. They can be a little challenging (a lot of them have rejection issues and the associated behavioral problems), but they really need love and support. Please pray that we can be a blessing to them.
We'll be working with the kids until Sunday afternoon, and then we'll do some laundry and pack up again to leave for La Guajira on Monday morning!

Después de un buen día de descanso ayer, empacamos esta mañana y nos fuimos para pasar el resto de la semana con las Casas de Niños y Niñas acá en Medellín (puedes aprender más de este ministerio por medio de este video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlyYEb2ZI04 ). Vamos a dirigir los devocionales para los chicos y ayudar de cualquier manera en que podamos. No nos consideramos super buenos para trabajar con niños, así que por favor, ora que Dios nos de sabiduría y dirección mientras trabajamos con ellos. La mayoría están aquí porque sus padres no podían cuidarlos o vienieron para escapar la violencia. Algunos pueden ser un poquito difíciles ya que tienen problemas con el rechazo y como consecuencia no se comportan muy bien, pero necesitan mucho amor y apoyo. Por favor, ora que podamos ser de mucha bendición para ellos.
Vamos a estar con los niños hasta el domingo por la tarde. Entonces vamos a lavar la ropa, empacar otra vez, e irnos para La Guajira!
