Starting the Crusade

Hey everyone!

This is Elizabeth, Daniela, David, and Miguel (the team isn't complete yet - Giovanny and Joanna are still on their way).

Today, April 27, 2011 is the start of our crusade, and our first stop is Guayaquil, Ecuador.  We left Medellin on the 25th at 6pm along with the YWAM team going to Brazil.  We separated from the other group in Tulcan, Ecuador at 7 pm yesterday.  Our trip from Tulcan to Guayaquil was "good" -  a 15 hour bus ride in which we slept and upon waking found that the floor of the bus was all wet and along with it many of our belongings!  They're still in the process of drying out.

We made it to the bus terminal in Guayquil and waited a few minutes for a couple of guys from the church who came to pick us up.  They brought us to the pastor's house where we had a delicious lunch (our first real food in more than 24 hours!) and where we will be resting for the rest of the afternoon.  This evening we will meet to find out our agenda for the rest of the week, and then each of us will go to the church members' homes that they've prepared for us stay in.

We'll continue to update you on how our trip is going.  Please continue to pray for us.  Here are a few requests:
- Our work with the church
- Financial provision
- Health
- Giovanni and Joanna - that they arrive safely

Thanks, everyone.  May God bless you!!!
